Medication At School
Whether your child is required to take an over-the-counter medication (such as ibuprofen or paracetamol) or a prescribed medication, there are a number of policies and procedures that the school is required to follow regarding the administration of these medications to your child to ensure we meet our duty of care obligations.
- ALL medication MUST have a Pharmacy Label attached which clearly states the child’s name and dosage instructions and MUST be brought in in the Original Packaging - this also applies to all over-the-counter medications.
- Parents/caregivers are required to complete a relevant medication form which is available from the Administration Office. These forms are kept on file.
- Medications (subject to type of medication) are either kept in the classroom with the class teacher or in administration in a locked first aid cabinet.
- We are not able to accept medication delivered in snap-lock bags
We are unable to administer the medication if any of the above steps have not been completed.
Your support in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Paying School Fees
As you are aware, over the course of late last year and early this year we transitioned to a new accounts and enrolments system and a result of this, all families were given new Family ID codes, (which you can find located on the top left of your school statement).
If you are paying your school account via internet banking, it would be appreciated if you would please use in the reference section, your new Family ID code and surname (e.g. OLO000 Jackman) as per the attached example statement. This will assist greatly with receipting as it helps to eliminate the possibility of payments being coded to another family who may have the same surname.
Please also note our ADF bank account details on the bottom left of your invoice. We still have a few families paying their fees to our old Heritage Bank account and would be grateful if these families would update their records accordingly to pay into the ADF account.
Term 3 School Fees will be emailed out to families by the end of week 4.
STUDENT ABSENCES
If your child is absent from school for any reason, please contact our office either by phone 4591 1200 and/or email lourdes@twb.catholic.edu.au. Please advise your child's name, class, reason for absence and relationship to student (e.g. Hugh Jackman Class 6M, is unwell, thanks Mum Jackman).
If you have any questions in relation to any of the above, please contact us.
Thank you
Hazel
