Faith & Religious Education News
Last week 42 of our Year 4, 5 and 6 students received the Sacrament of Confirmation. The children enjoyed listening to Bishop Robert talk about his connection with his grandparents and how the gifts of the Holy Spirit can become very important in our faith journey. Please enjoy the Photos taken at the sacrament ceremonies.
One group of children received their First Eucharist last Sunday and another group will celebrate this milestone next Sunday. Just a reminder there will be a short practise this afternoon (26/5/2021) at 3:30 pm in the church for the First Eucharist group on Sunday 30/5/2021.
We congratulate these children and their families for the sacramental journey they have undertaken.

Last Monday Mr Golightly, our school captains Sophie and Xavier and I had the privilege of attending a Mass to celebrate 200 Years of Catholic Education at St Patricks Cathedral. Today the Year 4- 6 children celebrated Mass with Father Quinlan. The whole school enjoyed a special cupcake to mark this historical milestone. We thank Reeves Bakery for supplying us with the Cupcakes for the children to enjoy. (Photos -Sophie and Xavier at the Cathedral Mass.) Tomorrow Year 1M will present the assembly on their take of 200 Years of Catholic Education - they have been working hard on some very difficult words!
Notes for the Preparation of the Sacrament of Reconciliation were given to the Year 3 students this week – if your child didn’t receive a note and is in Year 3 and up and would like to be part of this year’s programme please contact Mrs Moore on Janice.Moore@twb.catholic.edu.au or call into the office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
